Tecnosky Telescope AC 210/1200 Goliath, OTA

With this telescope, Tecnosky offers a refractor with a huge aperture: 210 millimeters of obstruction-free aperture provide an ability to separate double stars which reflecting telescopes with their annoying secondary mirrors can only dream of! Due to its large focal ratio of f/6, the lens is also especially fast.

However, due to its fast focal ratio, the achromatic air-spaced doublet is not entirely free of chromatic aberration. It is therefore well-suited for wide field deep-sky observation or narrow-band photography, for example H II regions with an H-alpha filter or photography with additional [O III] and [S II] filters (Hubble palette). Another important application is separating and measuring binary stars. These optics also works well with a DayStar QUARK filter, turning the Goliath into a solar telescope (see sample image).

But this exceptional telescope also allows for the observation of fine structures on the Moon and planets. The use of the Baader Semi APO filter is recommended here (see accessory recommendation) to suppress chromatic aberration in bright features and increase contrast.

The tube of the achromatic telescope is made of three millimetres thick aluminum with internal baffles and is manufactured in Italy. Even the Losmandy style dovetail bar does not come from just anywhere, it is an original Geoptik product. The Goliath is a true quality product!
