These aids facilitate observation through telescopes and correct image orientation.
These components are inserted between the eyepiece and telescope. The image is deflected by 45° or 90°, for example, and thus facilitates viewing. Especially Amici prisms and erecting lenses correct the image alignment (right/left & up/down) and thus enable a natural image impression.
