Pegasus Orbit Diagonal, SCT 2" Edition

Name: Pegasus Orbit Diagonal, SCT 2" Edition
Brand: Pegasus Astro
SKU: PEG-OR2
Price: 178 EUR

The PegasusAstro Orbit is the modular 1.25" rotating diagonal, specifically designed for optical systems with extremely limited backfocus, such as the SmartEye unit.

Compact 1.25" Optical Design: ultra-short backfocus guarantees your telescope reaches focus where bulky 2" diagonals fail, while fully illuminating the IMX533 sensor (16 mm diagonal) with zero vignetting.

Mirror: BK7 substrate, enhanced aluminum coating with protective coatings

Dual Thumb Screws: tactile adjustment screws for independent rotation of the telescope connection and the SmartEye

Threads: The SmartEye-side of the diagonal feature a dual-thread design.

105 mm optical path - critical for maintaining flat fields and optimal star shapes when using focal reducers or corrected optics

Direct SCT Coupling: Specifically designed for telescopes and optical accessories with a standard 2" SCT threaded visual back (e.g., Celestron or Meade Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes, Celestron 0.63 Reducer)

This threaded connection provides a rigid, tilt-free attachment.

The PegasusAstro Orbit is a modular 1.25" (mirror size, not necessarily the connections) rotating diagonal, specifically designed for optical systems with extremely limited backfocus, such as the SmartEye unit.

It features dual-axis rotation, allowing for ergonomic viewing regardless of your telescope´s orientation.

SmartEye can be attached directly by using the provided (in box) M54M to M48M adapter. The 1.25" filter thread and short backfocus allow you to use smaller filters with SmartEye without vignetting.

Orbit comes in 3 different editions / configutations for optimal backfocus (the one shown here is highlighted in bold):

Basic (PEG-ORBIT)

SCT 2" (PEG-ORBIT-SCT2INCH)

SCT-Edge (PEG-ORBIT-EDGE)
