Advantages and outfits of the Skywatcher Explorer 130PDS:

Quality 2" Crayford focuser with 1:10 dual speed transmission and M54 thread (female). Suitable even for DSLR cameras. A 2" to T2 (M42x0.75) adapter is including.

Compatible with many coma correctors like the Baader MPCC, TS coma correctors or the GPU corrector.

A 2" extension tube and a 1.25" extension adapter are included for observation, allowing you to work with all standard 2" and 1.25" eyepieces.

Astro imaging with the Skywatcher 130 mm f/5 Newtonian

Taking photos with this Newtonian is no problem but a coma corrector is necessary as with all faster Newton designs.

We recommend these three correctors. The are found in the accessories section:

TSKomakorr ... A good two element corrector with M48 thread - ideal for DSLR cameras

GPU coma corrector ... A 4-element corrector with very good image definition. Recommended for CCD cameras with higher resolution

Baader MPCC corrector ... This two element corrector offers the option of using the TSOAG off axis guider. So you can guide the telescope directly without the need of a separate guiding scope.

Where is the adapter to T2 (M42x0.75)?

It is part of the 1.25" adapter. Just unscrew the long part with the 1.25" receptacle and you have a male T2 thread.
