TS Optics PHOTOLINE 115 mm f/6.95 Triplet EDT Refractor Telescope
The PHOTOLINE triplet ED Triplet Apo from Teleskop-Service offers an image which was available only from significantly more expensive refractors until now. By the neatly manufactured objective, the chromatic aberration is brought down to a non-bothersome minimum. The correction is noticable better than the one of comparable ED instruments.
The objective is not cemented, but airspaced. Of course, it is adjustable. We have compared imaging quality and sharpness in field with a similar instrument with 110 mm aperture and came to the conclusion that the visual and photographic quality is significantly better.
The advantages of the TS PHOTOLINE 115 mm Apo:
High class triplet objective with two special glasses - optical quality and colour correction better than from simple FPL53 dublets. Retractable dew shield - thus perfectly suited for transportation - transportation length only approx. 71 cm! High-quality 2.5" RAP focuser with 1:10 gear reduction for precise focusing 360° rotation of the focuser M63x1 and M68x1 female thread for screwed adaptations Noticable better illumination than all comparable apochromatic telecopes with smaller 2" focusers - the apo can be used up to full-frame. CNC machined tube rings - no simple aluminum cast The objective is mounted collimatable and temperature compensated. The cell will keep the adjustment - ideal for transportation Every single apochromat is tested and perfectly adjusted on our optical bench prior to shipping. Astrophotography with the PHOTOLINE 115 mm EDT
The apo is perfectly suited for astrophotography. The fast focal ratio allows short exposure times at high resolution. Extended nebular regions can be photographed with the apo very well as small galaxies or planetary nebulae.

We recommend following correctors for the 115 mm PHOTOLINE apo:TSFLAT25Del - the bigger brother of the TSFLAT2. The corrector is designed for full-frame sensors and can be directly screwed to the female M63 thread of the focuser. The working distance from the M48 thread to the camera sensor is 55 mm.
TSREDM63-115 - the 0.8x field corrector is designed for the 115 mm f7 triplet lens. It reduces the focal length to 644 mm and improves the focal ratio to a fast f/5.6. The working distance from the M48 thread is 55 mm (T-ring and DSLR camera). The corrector is directly screwed to the M63 thread of the focuser.
TSRED379 - the PHOTOLINE telecompressor reduces the focal length to 632 mm and improves the aperture ratio to fast f/5.53. The working distance from the M48 thread is 55 mm (T adapter and DSLR camera). The reducer can be screwed to the female M68x1 thread of the apo.
Of course, correctors and adapters are linked in the accessories section.Astrophotographic results obtained with this telescope on Astrobin

For maximal contrast, the triplet objective is multicoated on every air-glass surface. It is mounted stress-free in a temperature compensated cell. The image is free from annoying chromatic aberrations and allows magnifications up to 300x.
Even when photographing bright stars, no blue fringe will affect the impression of the image.
The objective, in this version, is made for Teleskop-Service. By using the two special glasses (Lanthanum and FPL51), a very good correction of the chromatic error is achieved, in practice comparable to the correction of an FPL53 triplet lens.
The 2.5" RAP focuser
The ball bearing mounted focuser holds accessories up to approx. 5 kg without tilting or slipping. Camera sensors up to full-frame size are completely illuminated.
The drawtube is moved by a rack & pinion system. It is separated from the bearing section by ball bearings. Even under heavy load, it can be operated smoothly with fine movements. The focuser offers a 360° rotation. Through the 1:10 dual speed transmission, a more precise focusing is achieved. Female M63x1 and M68x1 threads at the focuser allow screwed adaptions for astrophotography. We offer suitable adapters. Of course, a 2" and a 1.25" adaption are included. This is how we hand over the apo to the amateur:
Every single APO is checked in our technical department before it is put into storage, in order to guarantee a consistently high product quality.
The mechanics are tested and the focuser is optimally adjusted. The lens is cosmetically checked and cleaned. We also check that all counter screws are correctly tightened. These often loosen during transportation. The optics are collimated and the result is checked on the optical bench. The telescope is given a serial number. An optical test is carried out, which is enclosed with the telescope (star images and ronchi image on the optical bench in autocollimation). Only then are the telescopes handed over to the warehouse and prepared for dispatch.Technical Information

Great field correcture with the TSFLAT2 2" Flattener:
After my recent purchase of TS115 from your store I finally had a chance to do a real imaging test with it. I´m very happy with the performance of this scope with TSFLAT2 corrector (using suggested 111mm spacing). Sharp stars all the way to the edges on a APS-C size sensor, no false colors on bright stars etc. So I´m attaching an un-cropped image of M106 I took along with a picture showing corner stars. Please feel free to use these images in the product page if needed.
Thanks & regards,
Prem Kanakaraj

"A good refractor without chromatic aberration which not only shows its strengths at high field light intensity and 2´" eyepieces around the 40mm focal length, but is also a pleasure for open star clusters of the messier class. The price is acceptable. First of all I will use the refractor with its 2.5" focuser as a large field system on a double mounting on a CGX. An SC 9.25 will keep him company.

Question:
How do I access the M68 and M63 connection threads?
Answer from Teleskop-Service:
To access the M68x1 internal thread, the 2" adapter must be unscrewed. The 2" adapter is secured by three small grub screws, which must be loosened first. To access the M63x1 internal thread, the M68x1 adapter must also be unscrewed from the extension tube. This adapter is also secured by three small grub screws. The adapter can only be unscrewed once these have been loosened
