Cassegrain telescopes combine the advantages of a Newtonian telescope with a short design. They are pure reflector telescopes without correction plates or lenses in the beam path. This compact telescope with a weight of just under 3 kg is very well supported by portable astronomical mounts, but also by photo tripods. The Cassegrain telescope is also suitable for air travel. The contrast of the image is very high and the well-illuminated field of view allows universal use at night and during the day. A powerful 2" Crayford focuser with micro reduction also offers all mechanical possibilities.

Applications of the 4.5" Cassegrain

The telescope is ideal for mobile use. It fits into compact transport bags and can be set up and ready for use in just a few minutes. We recommend the telescope in particular for:

Observation and photography of the moon and planets.

Daytime observation, the telescope will provide good contrast even in sunshine.

Observation of nebulae, stars and galaxies - 114 mm aperture with pure mirror optics produces a bright and high-contrast image.
