This inexpensive overview eyepiece makes your telescope fit for the ultimate overview. Admire the great Andromeda Galaxy with its spiral arms or survey the Veil Nebula with its fine filaments. Despite the low price, the quality of this 4-element eyepiece is high. In addition to a multi-coating on each glass-air surface, the eyepiece also convinces with blackened lens edges. The telescope must have a 2" focuser, of course. Due to the long focal length, the 56 mm Super Plössl is ideal for all long focal length telescopes, such as:

Refractor telescopes with f/8 or fainter.

Cassegrain telescopes and Ritchey-Chrétien telescopes

The 56 mm Super Plössl is not suitable for fast Newtonian telescopes or fast refractors. Due to the long focal length, the exit pupil is too large, you give away light. We recommend 2" eyepieces with shorter focal length.
