Celestron CPC 925 GPS XLT GoTo Telescope
The CPC 925 SC combines a stable GoTo fork mount with modern optics. The telescope is equally well suited for observing the moon and planets as well as faint nebulae, star clusters and galaxies. Thanks to the aperture of 235 mm, the telescope already makes many details visible during lunar and planetary observation and shows structures in galaxies and star clusters.
The relatively large focal length of the primary mirror compared to other SC telescopes ensures a lower field curvature and thus also allows the use for astrophotography. This makes the CPC 925 the ideal universal telescope.

Celestron SC optics have many advantages:
Each Celestron SC optic is hand retouched and features XLT coating for a bright and high contrast image. Of course, the modern optics are Faststar compatible. So you can convert this telescope into a modern and fast CCD Schmidt camera. In addition, many manufacturers offer high-quality correctors for astrophotography, which can be easily screwed to the SC thread.

Built-in GPS:
CPC telescopes feature a built-in GPS sensor that automatically receives the date, time, and your exact location from GPS satellites. This eliminates the need for you to manually enter this data.

SkyAlign - calibration in the starry sky is this easy:
SkyAlign is the name of Celestron´s foolproof alignment procedure for perfect GoTo positioning. The telescope does not need a defined home position anymore: You point the telescope at three bright stars one after the other (planets and the moon are also possible) and voilá, your CPC telescope is ready for automatic GoTo positioning to any object from the hand control´s database.

From the distance of the three stars from each other and the corresponding angles SkyAlign calculates the positioning of your telescope. SkyAlign "gets" the other data needed for this (date, time, and location coordinates) from the integrated 16-channel GPS receiver.

"SkyAlign" only works in azimuthal operation of the telescope, i.e. when the telescope is operated directly on the tripod without a wedge. But Celestron also has some new and simplified alignment procedures ready for parallactic operation in the CPC series.

The hand controller already offers switching to the respective national languages, such as German or French. The default language is English. At the first start you will be asked for the language, which you can then select.

Comprehensive Database:
The CPC telescopes database contains over 40,000 celestial objects, including the Messier and Caldwell catalogs as well as galaxies and nebulae from the NGC catalog and the planets. You can narrow the selection to simplify searching this comprehensive database and hide objects that are just below the horizon.

The "Identify" function tells you what you are currently seeing in the telescope, plus you can easily use it to explore the sky. Just point the telescope once at any area of the sky and let it show you the nearest Messier objects, for example - the telescope will go to them for you. You can do this in different areas of the sky and with different objects!

With "Solar Sys Align" you can also align the telescope during the day using the Sun or Moon to observe the planets or the brightest stars in the daytime sky.
