ZWO 5V EAF Motor Focuser with USB Connector
This motorized focusing unit allows precise focusing. Remote control can also be done via smartphone or tablet because the EAF supports ASIAIR and ASCOM. The control can also be carried out via PC or laptop. Alternatively, there is also a hand box for on-site control.
The versatile adapter plate allows the motor focus to be connected to TS-Optics telescopes, SharpStar, Astro Tech, Starlight Feather Touch and many more.
The most important change of the 5V EAF in that the 12 V power supply connector has been removed. Now you can connect the EAF directly to your camera, laptop or ASIAIR PRO via the USB 2.0 port and cable for both data transfer and power. This makes cable management much easier.
Compatibility
ZWO is constantly expanding the list of focusers that are directly compatible with the EAF motor focuser. Here is the link to the listing of focusers on ZWO´s site:
ZWO EAF Compatible Focuser List & Connecting Methods.
The EAF motor focus will also fit, possibly with suitably sized washers, on the following apos from TS-Optics:TSAPO85, TSAPO96, TSAPO106, TSAPO106FF, TSED152F5, TSAPO204
Important note
The manufacturer specifies an operating temperature range of -5 to +50 °C. It therefore makes sense to use heaters in winter. Two suitable models are linked in the accessories section below.

First use of the ZWO EAF
Now that I have been using the EAF motor focuser from ZWO for a few weeks, I would like to draw a first conclusion:
The installation went smoothly, both mechanically and electronically. Only the bracket I had to adjust a bit for my aged Feathertouch OAZ.
For photography I use the EAF with the software Sharp Cap Pro. Together with the focusing aid and a Bahtinov Mask can be focused very accurately via the program with a little patience.
For visual observations, the hand controller works fine. It has two speeds preset. The cable could be a bit longer. But you can exchange it for a longer one.
Especially for photography, a motor focus is now a must for me. I can never achieve this precision and stability manually. I also learned a lot about the factors that affect focus.
I have no comparison to other motor focusers, but for my needs the EAF is perfect, especially since I couldn´t spend a thousand euros. I would like to add that I recommend the power supply "Netz3A" because of the narrow plug.

Question:
The EAF does not move, although it is recognized by the driver.?
Answer from Teleskop-Service:
It may be that the software used, e.g. NINA, sets the value for maximum movement to 0, if you then set it to e.g. 60000, it turns again.
