TS 6" f/4 ONTC Newtonian telescope - a sophisticated telescope for mobile use

The strength of this telescope is its versatility and compact dimensions. By using high-quality tube rings and end rings made from a modern 3D printing process, we were able to reduce the weight of the Newtonian to around 4 kg, with full collimation stability. This allows the Newtonian to be carried by small mounts.

Three focus positions provide flexibility:
By moving the primary mirror cell, you can freely determine the focus position above the 2" receptacle. Different correctors also give you different focal lengths.

Astrophotography with normal coma correctors - middle position: This version is optimal for all coma correctors with 55 mm working distance, such as the Baader MPCC corrector, TSGPU or the TS Maxfield coma corrector. But the Starizona Nexus 0.75x corrector also works very well in this position.

Astrophotography with the TS and ASA 2" reducer and corrector - shortest distance: The primary mirror is at the position with the shortest distance to the secondary mirror. This version is optimized for the TS 0.73x reducer/corrector. The focal ratio changes from f/4 to f/2.92 due to the reducer.

Astrophotography with the Paracorr and visual observation: This version is for stargazers who want to use the telescope for visual observation. The 2" Paracorr VIP-2010 can also work very well with this focus position. The focal ratio changes from f/4 to f/4.6.

The 2" TS UNCN2-G2 focuser:
A centerpiece of this TS ONTC Newtonian is the modern TS UNCN2-G2 focuser. The focuser extends only 58 mm from the edge of the tube and still supports heavy cameras and accessories without tilting.

High rigidity with extremely short length

Precise 1:10 dual speed - for perfectly focused astrophotos

Can be extended with motor focus - with the TS motor focus advantage: manual adjustment possible with attached focuser

Accessories can be screwed on - the 2" receptacle can be unscrewed, providing you with a female M54x0.75 thread.
