TS-Optics 140 mm f/6.5 Photoline Triplet Apochromat
This Apo is manufactured by Sharpstar for Teleskop-Service. The apochromat is still portable and ideal for mobile astrophotography. Of course the apo is also a fine telescope for the observatory. 140 mm aperture and the image free of false color due to the triplet design allow a wide range of applications.
The 3-element objective is fully adjustable. Two Ultra-Low Dispersion ED elements enable an image free of chromatic aberration. Even bright stars will not have a color fringe.
The apochromat with the large 4" rack and pinion focuser allows astrophotography at the highest level. With the 0.75x 3" reducer you can achieve fast f/4.8 with full correction of the image field up to full frame size format. This allows you to expose an object easily in one night.
The apo is equipped with a carbon tube:
A carbon tube not only saves considerable weight, it is also very stiff and resistant. When the telescope has cooled down, it needs to be refocused less often, because carbon does not react as extremely to temperature fluctuations as metal. Stars become sharper because the focus position is held better in astrophotography.
This is how we hand over the apo to the star lover:
Every single TSAPO100Q is checked in our technical department before it is put into storage, in order to guarantee a consistently high product quality.
The mechanics are tested and the focuser is optimally adjusted. The lens is cosmetically checked and cleaned. We also check that all counter screws are correctly tightened. These often loosen during transportation. The optics are collimated and the result is checked on the optical bench. The telescope is given a serial number. An optical test is carried out, which is enclosed with the telescope (star images and ronchi image on the optical bench in autocollimation). Only then are the telescopes handed over to the warehouse and prepared for dispatch.Connection of correctors for astrophotography
The apo offers a generous working distance, so that you can work with the TSAPORED075 (0.74x reducer) and still get into focus.
If you want to attach the TSFLAT25DEL (1.0x flattener), you need the following components.
M68a-M63i - adapter to extend the M63 thread of the corrector to M68x1. 2x TSVM6815 30 mm M68x1 extension - to get into focus without problems. The extensions are positioned between the M68x1 thread on the focuser and the adapter.Astrophotographic results obtained with this telescope on Astrobin
