Powerful apo for astrophotography and observation with 125 mm aperture
The 2-element objective with the FPL53 special glass and lanthanum special glass impresses with a color-pure and particularly high-contrast image. The chromatic correction corresponds to that of an FPL53 triplet, with faster cooling. With only 7.57 kg, the apochromat is still transportable and is well supported by mounts like the Celestron AVX or the Skywatcher H-EQ5 for astrophotography.
Astrophotography with the 125 mm f/6.24 apo:
With modern CMOS cameras and system cameras, the focal ratio of f/6.24 is sufficient to achieve impressive results with moderate exposure times. Cameras up to full frame format can be used. The focal length of 780 mm makes the apo the right choice for compact deep sky objects, such as planetary nebulae, globular clusters or even high resolution details in gas nebulae. Nevertheless, especially with APS-C or full-frame sensors, a large area of sky can be captured. Thus, the apo is a photographic universal telescope. Without the corrector, lunar and planetary photography is of course also very well possible.
A special feature is the spacer between the focuser and the tube. When this is removed, the working distance increases to 210 mm, which allows the connection of extreme correctors, such as the Riccardi Reducer.

The apo has one of the best objectives in its class, but only through very good mechanics does the quality reach the sensor.
Rigidly mounted focuser with rack & pinion (gear drive) adjustment. The bearing is decoupled from the adjustment of the draw tube. Oversized draw tube with 60 mm clear aperture for full illumination even at full frame. 1:10 dual speed for ultra-accurate focusing High-quality CNC tube with internal baffles and very good internal blackening - no disturbing stray light The corrector is directly screwed to the M68x1 female thread of the focuser, the matching adapter is included in the delivery The dew shield can be slid in. High quality CNC tube rings and a sturdy GP style dovetail bar provide a good hold on the mount. The tube rings each have 3 female M6 threads on the top for flexible adaptations. The finder shoe is already mounted. The visual use - a powerful apo for astrononomy
With all the love for astrophotography, often you just want to look at the photographic objects in the sky. 125 mm aperture also allows exciting observations and many thousands of deep sky objects are also visually reachable with the apo. A 2" and 1.25" adapter are included. You just need a good 2" star diagonal and suitable eyepieces and nothing stands in the way of observing pleasure.
