This TS spotting scope is a true multitsalent and suitable for practically any application. With the TS BW65Z, you have a complete telescope, telephoto lens, and spotting scope in one. Everything is complete and ready for use. The spotting scope weighs less than 2 kg and can therefore be easily carried by good photo tripods. And the areas of application are very versatile:

Photographing through the spotting scope using cameras:
The spotting scope is ready for digiscoping. The matching photo adapter is included in the scope of delivery. Adaptation is easy: screw the camera adapter over the zoom and simply attach your camera to the adapter´s T2 thread. The zoom function of the eyepiece is retained, allowing you to use different magnifications, just like with a zoom lens. This turns the spotting scope into a powerful telephoto zoom with a variable focal length of approximately 320-960 mm.

Taking photos through the spotting scope with a smartphone:
Modern smartphones now have very good cameras. With the items TSSMH-DEL (smartphone holder) and TSSMHDEL-T2 (T2 adapter), you can screw your smartphone directly onto the photo adapter, giving you a stable and accurate connection for spectacular shots through the spotting scope.

The flexible 1.25" eyepiece connection with ring clamping:
The 1.25" eyepiece connection has long been established in professional telescopes. The advantages are obvious. You can quickly change eyepieces and have the entire range of professional eyepieces at hand. With the HR4 planetary eyepiece, for example, you can achieve a magnification of about 96x.

How to calculate the desired magnification:
That´s very easy. The spotting scope has a focal length of 386 mm. Just divide the spotting scope´s focal length by the focal length of the eyepiece and you get the magnification:
Example: 386 mm / 4 mm (focal length of HR4 eyepiece) = 96.5x

Coarse focusing and fine focusing for perfect sharpness:
Use the coarse focusing for quick viewing. When birding, for example, you have to change the focal plane quickly for not missing the motif. At the same rotary knob, you have the micro transmission for observing something in detail. Especially in photography through the spotting scope, exact focusing is very important for perfect results.

The transport and ready bag:
The provided bag is more than just a carrying case. Of course, the padded bag fulfills this task very well. However, you can also mount the TS spotting scope together with the bag on a photo tripod. The covers of the lens, eyepiece, and focusing are opened, while the rest of the spotting scope remains protected. This makes it possible to use the spotting scope in very humid environmental conditions, such as when hunting. The tripod is not included in the scope of delivery.

Versatile tripod connection and 360° click-stop rotation:
The tripod connection of the BW80Z spotting scope is elaborate, too. For example, it offers 360° click-stop rotation if you want to view from the side rather than from above. The connector offers three 1/4" photo threads, so you can better balance the spotting scope or attach it to many astronomical mounts by using an optional dovetail bar.
