The adapter allows accessories such as the ZWO CAA, filter wheels, or filter drawers to be screwed onto the focuser, thereby preventing them from tilting, which can happen with simple clamping mechanisms. The adapter reduces an M56x0.75 male thread to an M54x0.75 male thread.
