TS filter drawer for manual filter change in just a few seconds

The filter drawer allows filters to be changed quickly. The filter holder is held in place by two strong magnets. The filter drawer is an exciting alternative to the filter wheel. Weighing just a few hundred grams, it hardly puts any strain on the focuser and the drawer is also much more compact with a diameter of around 80 mm. The filter change is purely manual, no computer is required for operation.

The 2" filter can simply be unscrewed from the filter holder and replaced with another one. For all amateur astronomers who want to make things even easier, the filter holder is also available to buy separately, so you don´t have to screw the filter in and out during the night.

The drawer is particularly suitable for cooled ToupTek G2 cameras:
The drawer has an M54x0.75 internal thread on both sides for maximum throughput. The drawer can be connected to various cameras and correctors using suitable adapters. In addition to the internal threads, the drawer also has threaded holes that fit directly to the ToupTek cameras and to the off-axis guiders # TS-OAG-... fit.

Flange focal distances with the filter drawer on cooled ToupTek G2 cameras:

Cameras with T2 or M48 connection: The filter drawer is placed between the removable T2 or M48 connection. The connection adapter is then attached to the telescope side of the filter drawer. The flange focal distance from the internal thread to the sensor is then 37.5 mm (distance from internal thread to sensor).

SkyEYE full-frame cameras with M54 mount: The filter drawer fits directly onto the camera and is attached to the connection adapter using the 6 internal threads. The flange focal distance from the M54 internal thread to the sensor is 37.5 mm.

The TS-OAG-M48, TS-OAG-M54 and TS-OAG-M68 fit optimally for a flange focal distance of 55 mm: The off-axis guiders have an optical path of 17.5 mm including the telescope adapter. In combination with the filter drawer, you get a back focus of exactly 55 mm from the telescope-side internal thread of the off-axis guider. This is ideal for almost all correctors. The order of adaptation from the telescope to the camera is then: (1) off-axis guider (2) filter drawer (3) camera.
