EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC MN-152 David H. Levy Comet Hunter

This Maksutov-Newtonian was developed in cooperation with the famous comet hunter David H. Levy. The Newtonian allows high level astrophotography with astro cameras and DSLRs up to APS-C format. The big advantage: the field correction is built in, no coma corrector is necessary anymore. Simply plug in the camera, focus and get started. The stars will be as sharp at the edge as in the center.

The image field correction by the Maksutov lens also has an advantageous effect during observation. Especially at low magnifications, a normal Newtonian telescope shows the stars distorted to small comets at the edge. The MN-152, on the other hand, images the stars pinpoint up to the edge even through 2" eyepieces. This makes the identification of small diffuse objects, such as comets, much easier.
