"I specifically purchased this telescope for visual planetary observing. I am impressed with the quality and performance of this telescope. At first I was surprised if not disappointed with the use of plastic as a back end. But if the part is stable and durable it decreases weight which is a plus. I very much like the light weight and compact size of this telescope which makes it easy to transport, easy to handle and easy to use a small portable mount. "
