TS Solar Newtonian with 200 mm aperture

This telescope is designed specifically for solar observation and photography in white light and calcium light. Observe or photograph sunspots, faculae, or granulation on the sun with a resolution that a small refractor cannot achieve. The 200 mm aperture reveals the finest structures.

The special feature of the solar Newtonian telescope:
The important difference is the uncoated primary mirror. Instead of approximately 94% of the light, only about 4% is reflected. Most of the heat energy passes through the primary mirror. This prevents the tube from heating up and, above all, prevents destructive heat in the focus area. You can use normal 2" filters to reduce the brightness. Suitable filters are linked in the accessories section.

Never observe or photograph without a filter:
Although only about 4% of sunlight is reflected, the sun is much too bright for photography or observation in the focus range. A UV/IR blocking filter and, of course, strong gray filters are essential for observation. The UV/IR blocking filter is absolutely necessary because UV light, which is harmful to the eyes, is also reflected. Under no circumstances should this light enter the eyes. Infrared light, in other words heat radiation, is also blocked by the UV/IR blocking filter.
