TS CF-APO 102/714 mm FPL55 Triplet Apochromat
The color-pure 102 mm apochromat is equally well suited for visual observation and astrophotography. Thanks to the FPL55 APO element, the imaging is first-class and in practice indistinguishable from the world-famous LZOS objectives from Russia.
The apo is easily transportable and is well supported by mounts of the EQ5 class or Losmandy GM-8.
The objective of the 102 mm apo:
The triplet objective with 102 mm aperture and 714 mm focal length meets the criteria of a full apochromat. Even at magnifications around 300x, the image is free of distracting chromatic aberrations. Even bright stars are displayed on astrophotos without disturbing blue fringes.
The APO element consists of FPL55, which is comparable to the well-known FPL53. Another special glass supports the chromatic correction. The air-spaced triplet objective is fully adjustable. Each optical glass air surface is multi-coated. The lens is in a temperature compensated adjustable cell.
The photographic 3.7" rack&pinion focuser:
The large focuser is optimized for photography and can carry a load of up to 8 kg. The focuser is adjusted via a geared transmission. We also offer motorized focusing for the focuser. Several internal threads are available for screwed adaptations. The focuser also offers 360° rotation for selecting the correct image section.
Astrophotography with the apo
To achieve the optimal imaging in the field, a corrector is needed. The corrector is screwed directly to the M92 thread of the apo. We recommend two correctors, both are suitable for cameras up to full frame format:
TSCFRED102 - 0.8x corrector: The corrector is specially designed for this apo. It reduces the focal length to 571 mm and improves the focal ratio to f/5.6. TSFLAT3 - 1.0x corrector: The corrector provides maximum illumination. It does not change the focal length and focal ratio. The working distance from the M48 thread is 59 mm.To connect cameras with 55 mm flange focal distance (distance from connection thread to sensor), you need 2x M54Abstimm1 (between M48 adapter and corrector) and 2x M48AbstimmA1 (between camera adapter and M48 thread).
