Explore Scientific ED Apo 80 mm f/6 with FCD-1 Triplet Lens
The three-element design of the EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC ED-Apochromats provides everything an amateur astronomer desires - at a reasonable price. The construction with Hoya FCD01-ED glass and two air-spaces provides a level of correction which is clearly visible above the level of the two-lens ED apochromats that are common in this price class.

According to the manufacturer, the image of this apo is superior to a doublet lens ED, and this is proven through the Polystrehl of more than 0.9.

A high-quality dual-speed focuser and, of course, a field flattner as optional accessory for photography, turn this apochromat into a telescope which leaves nothing to be desired.

The tube offers an extreme backfocus of 165 mm above the 2" receptacle. With this, you can use even binoviewers without glass path compensating or extreme correctors with focal reduction for astrophotography. For "normal" usage, two threaded distance tubes are supplied, so the focuser is always in a moderate position.

The range of application of the apo is accordingly versatile:
Deep-sky observation
Deep-sky photography (with suitable correctors)
Lunar and planetary observation
Lunar and planetary photography
Nature and countryside viewing and photography

"APO ok. Beim beigelegten Zenitspiegel war der Okularanschluss lose! Fehler konnte behoben werden. Ob der Zenitspiegel justiert ist, konnte nicht kontrolliert werden."
