Skywatcher AZ-EQ5 GoTo mount with the German made Berlebach UNI18 ash wood tripod

This combination does not only look beautiful, it also gives you the maximum amount of stability and precision the AZ-EQ5 offers. The tripod is height adjustable from 84 through 132 cm and a large accessory tray offers space for eyepieces, batteries and other things you need during your observation or imaging session. An integrated bubble level makes setup easiser.

The Skywatcher AZ-EQ5GT is the perfect solution for amateur astronomers who want the beneifit of an azimuthal AND a equatorial GoTo mount without disadvantages of them.

In altazimuth mode, it is primarily intended for visual use, and in this mode, two telescopes can be mounted simultaneously in parallel. In equatorial mode, the AZ-EQ5GT is a wonderful base for astrophotography with precise tracking and Autoguiding connection.

The mount itselves only weight 7.7 kg so it is very transportable.

Supplied with the Synscan computerised handset with dual AZ/EQ firmware, it can automatically find and track over 42,900 celestial objects from its database - in both modes - azimutal and equatorial.

Integrated encoders allow moving the mount manually with its friction clutches without loosing alignment.

To avoid loss of warranty, please use only the power supplies and mobile supplies recommended by us. Especially simple car batteries or sealed lead-acid batteries can lead to an under-supply, which can then damage the sensitive electronics of the mount. How can I connect the hand controller to the PRO mount if the port for the hand controller is already connected to the EQMOD cable?

Answer from Teleskop-Service:
You can connect either the hand controller or the EQMOD/EQDIR cable. If you control the mount remotely via the computer, a hand controller is no longer necessary.
