Azimutal Mounts with automatical object positioning
Azimuthal mounts are like a photo tripod with a vertical and horizontal slewing capability. Azimuthal mounts with GoTo are mainly suitable for observing celestial objects.
Azimuthal GoTo mounts are very easy to use. The time-consuming "polar alignment" is not necessary. It is enough to set up the telescope horizontally and to calibrate it at a few stars and the telescope is ready for observation, of course all AZ-GoTo mounts have a tracking system.
