TS-Optics MTO1300 Maksutov Telephoto Lens with 1300 mm Focal Length

This telephoto lens brings distant objects right before your eyes. Photograph a bird in its nest or an animal at the edge of the forest from a safe distance or image a spectacular moonrise. The lens has the T2 (M42x0.75) photo connection. Via a matching T2 ring, you can adapt all popular SLR cameras. We recommend the MTO1300 for cameras up to APS-C format.

The advantages of the internal focusing

Many telephoto lenses with manual focusing are focused by rotating a ring at the front or back side. This can cause blurry images. The MTO 1300 on the contrary has internal focusing. This is clearly smoother running, thus allowing more exact focusing, as the vibrations are clearly less strong.

The telephoto lens becomes a powerful spotting scope for astronomy and nature observing

Apart from the T2 connection, the MTO1300 has also a 1.25" connection. With a matching star diagonal or Amici prism and a good zoom eyepiece, you can turn the telephoto lens into a sharp Maksutov spotting scope for nature observing and astronomy. Magnifications up to 200x become possible. Observe details on the moon, the rings of saturn, or a distant mountaineer in the steep face.
