A compact universal instrument for Earth and sky observation.The compact Maksutov telescope with 102 mm aperture is suitable for almost all applications in hobby astronomy and nature observation. With a length of only 28 cm, the instrument fits into any flight baggage and due to its low weight, the Mak can also be carried by compact mounts or even good photo tripods.
Observation
Whether you observe animals in the wild or the sky, the BKM 102 will convince in all areas. The image is without disturbing chromatic aberrations and the contrast is very good. Especially for lunar and planetary observation, a Maksutov telescope is perfectly suited.
Photography
The BKM 102 has a T2 connection. So you can attach your reflex camera with the suitable T2 ring.
BKM 102 on the EQ2: a powerful yet compact instrument
The compact Maksutov telescope and the EQ2 transportable mount are a powerful team for astronomy. The mount holds the compact and lightweight instrument with good stability.The mount comes complete with a height-adjustable aluminium tripod and has, in addition to the coarse adjustment, a manual fine adjustment. This allows you to centre the targets precisely, even at high magnification.
The mount can be retrofitted with motors, making sky photography possible as well.
