TS-Optics Finder for safe centering of the sun in your telescope
Position the sun accurately without danger for your eyes. The finder has no optics. You simply look to the ground glass and as soon as the sun disc is in the middle, you can start with solar observing or photography.

For telescopes with stubby tube, this method is often quicker than centering via the telescope´s shadow.

And this is how you work with the TS Solar Finder:
Remove the original finder from the finder shoe and attach the TS Solar Finder instead.
Mount the front solar filter before the front opening of your telescope or mount the Herschel wedge to its back side.
Direct the telescope approximately to the direction of the sun. You will already ee a small bright disc in the middle of the ground glass. You can view this ground glass from a comfortable distance.
Center this disc and your telescope already directs exactly to the sun.

The principle of the TS solar finder:

The front plate has a small hole which works like the pinhole aperture of a pinhole camera. A small image of the solar disc is produced. This solar disc is projected to the matt screen at the back side - totally without optics and absolutely harmless.

Among others, the TS Solar Finder fits to:
All telescopes with a standard finder shoe
Skywatcher telescopes
Celestron telescopes
Telescopes from TS-Optics
Vixen telescopes
GSO telescopes
We also offer suitable finder shoes for self-adaptations

Type:Solar finder - projection system, a bit similar to a diopter sight
Alignment:Via four adjustment screws

"Easy install and manipulation. Helps very good to point scope at the sun, depending on the magnification used in the scope"

"Small, but very practical. Easy to correct the finder and lign it with the viewing angle once pointed at the sun. Based on the pinhole-principle"
