LRGB filters are an essential accessory for obtaining color images with monochrome cameras. They can improve the contrast of the target area and highlight the details and layers.

ToupTek Astro LRGB filters have a high transmittance of 95% and cover a rich spectral range. Through the exposure of the RGB three channels and post-synthesis, they can reveal a color-balanced, real and natural deep sky scene.

Characteristics of the filters

The L filter acts as an infrared-ultraviolet cut-off filter, passing visible light between 420 nm and 685 nm with a high transmittance of 98%, enhancing the target contrast.

The R filter allows passage of red light from 590 nm nm 700 nm while maintaining maximum transmission of H-alpha and [S II] emissions.

The G filter allows passage of light from 490 nm to 580 nm, which is the first to cut off the emission lines of mercury, sodium, etc. near this spectrum.

The B filter allows the transmission of light in the 400 nm to 510 nm band, which is more targeted at objects containing 486 nm H-beta emission (such as the Horsehead Nebula).

The filters are made from high-quality optical glass with a thickness of 2 mm. They have been polished on both sides for a smooth and even surface, ensuring excellent optical performance.
