Pegasus Astro O-III Photo Filter - 2" Cell

The narrowband line filters are useful for photographing emission nebulae in light-polluted skies.

This narrowband filter is centered on a wavelength of 500 nm, corresponding to [O III] emission lines of the doubly-ionized oxygen, and has 7 nm bandwidth. This reduces the intensity of certain wavelengths of light, specifically those produced by artificial light including mercury vapor and both high and low pressure sodium vapor lights and the unwanted natural light caused by neutral oxygen emission in our atmosphere (i.e. skyglow).
