Astronomik OWB Clip Filter

This filter is not an astronomical filter in the classical sense at all! Rather, it is intended to enable converted digital system cameras, in which the built-in IR filter has been removed or replaced by a modified IR filter, to become fully usable again for ´terrestrial´ photography.

The OWB (Original White Balance) filter shifts the complete spectral range of the converted camera in such a way that it can be used again without restriction for terrestrial photography. The decision to use a camera exclusively for astrophotography is no longer necessary. This relieves your wallet considerably!

The filter can be inserted into the camera body in seconds.

How the OWB filter works:

The OWB filter is so intricately calculated and constructed that the images from the converted system camera again provide results that correspond to the daytime vision of the human eye. This enables the camera to work with the parameters it is familiar with for the various preset white balance values and, of course, with automatic white balance (AWB). This was previously not possible with converted digital cameras without filters.
