TS Photoline 80 mm f/6.25 Apo with Carbon Tube
The apo is mainly aimed at astrophotographers who prefer a mobile apo with very good optics and mechanics. The 2-element lens with two special glasses and FPL53 as APO element offers a color-clean image up to the highest magnification range. Even bright stars remain without color fringes. The carbon tube allows a reduced weight of about 3.5 kg with very good stiffness and improved temperature stability.
The TSAPO805C´s focuser
The 2.5" ball bearing RAP focuser also supports heavy cameras. In addition to the 2" and 1.25" connectors, an M54x0.75 female thread is also available for screw adaptations. The adjustment is decoupled from the bearing. This allows perfect focusing even with heavy accessories. Of course, 1:10 dual-speed helps a lot.
Astrophotography with the TSAPO805C
The working distance of about 120 mm from the 2" focuser is suitable for all common correctors with 2" barrel. If full frame cameras are used, we always recommend a 1.0x corrector without focal length change. For cameras with smaller sensors, a reducer may make sense to increase the field of view. We especially recommend:
TSRED279 - 0.79x reducer and corrector - the corrector is suitable for cameras with APS-C sensors or smaller. It shortens the focal length to 395 mm and improves the focal ratio to a fast f/4.93. The corrector is screwed directly to the M54 female thread of the focuser. The recommended working distance is 61 mm from the T2 thread. With suitable extension tubes and tuning rings, all common astro cameras, DSLRs and mirrorless system cameras can be adapted.
WiflatM48 - 1.0x corrector - the corrector is also suitable for cameras with large sensors. The illumination is given up to full frame format. The corrector is simply clamped via the 2" connection. From the M48 connection thread, the working distance is 55 mm.
