Omegon 130/920mm Newtonian - an ideal telescope for beginners
This Omegon reflector with 130 mm aperture is just the right telescope for taking your first steps in exploring the night sky. With a very high light collection capacity it is an easy matter to undertake excursions into the world of deep-sky objects. Whether it is Saturn with its ring systems, or the Ring Nebula 2300 light years away with its diaphanous ring – this and even more is possible with the Omegon 130/920!

The advantages and features of the Omegon 130/920 Newtonian telescope:
130 mm aperture - 344x more light than with the unaided eye
900 mm focal length without additional lenses which often deteriorate the image
Red dot finder for easy location of objects
Collimation adjustment screws for the secondary and primary mirrors. The collimation is very stable, even after transporting the telescope the image will be fine.
1.25" focuser for all standard 1.25" eyepieces and filters
Upgradable for astrophotography with drive and camera adapter
In a few steps, the telescope can be disassembled into easily transportable parts. The tube weighs 3.4 kg, the telescope as a whole weighs 16 kg.

The optics of the Omegon 130/920 mm Newtonian:
With suitable eyepieces, the neatly manufactured and adjustable optics provide 260x maximum magnification (according to manufacturer), apropriate conditions given. The optics´ resolution is sufficient for recognizing first detail on planets, likr the Great Red Spot on jupiter or the Cassini Division in the rings of saturn. But the high light gathering power is also sufficient for locating hundreds of objects far away from our solar system, like the globular cluster M13 which can be found a bit away from our galaxy.

Do you want to take photographs?
In the accessories section, we offer suitable accessories for creating charming moon photographs or make a video of a splendid sunrise. You can even optain images of the sun by using a solar filter for the object lens.

The equatorial mount EQ-2:
The mount whith which the Omegon Newtonian is equipped already offers the possibility for polar alignment. Here, the right ascenion axis is pointed exactly to the north celestial pole which is located close to the pole star. The big advantage: you can track all celestial objects by fine adjusting of only one axis. You can even add a motor drive to this axis, so the object stays in the middle of the field of the eyepiece, allowing relaxed observing or photography.

The mount is stable and low-vibration. It is attached to an aluminium tripod which can be extended from 71 to 121 cm. Thus the telescope can adapt to your body height, it "grows" with you.

Software "Eyes on the Skies"
Special offer - only from Teleskop Service: we ship this telescope with the DVD "Eyes on the Skies", an official release for the International Year of Astronomy 2009 (IYA 2009). The movie immerses into the fascinating world of telecopes. Playing time 60 min, English and German.
