TS 7 filter masks for unmounted filters

Due to the manufacturing process, the coating on unmounted filters does not extend all the way to the outer edge. This means that unfiltered light can reach the sensor through the edges of the filter. If you browse the internet, you will find that this is a problem with all manufacturers. This is most noticeable with narrowband filters, because a large part of the light spectrum is cut off. However, this is also slightly the case with red, green, blue, and luminance filters.

These filter masks effectively cover the outer edge of the filters. This means that the flats match perfectly during image calibration, resulting in a homogeneously illuminated calibrated light frame.

The filament used to print the filter apertures was specially developed for industrial applications and is characterized by its high UV and weather resistance. It is therefore particularly suitable for outdoor use. The filament is matte black and dimensionally stable.

The following sizes are available:
31 mm: Inner diameter: 28.2 mm
36 mm: Inner diameter: 34.8 mm
50 mm: Inner diameter: 48.6 mm

Filter masks with or without fold:
To ensure that the filter masks fit flush, the filters must be the same thickness as the filter holder. For filters with a thickness of 2 mm, masks without a fold are required. For filters with a thickness of 3 mm, masks with a fold are required.
