TS 1.25" 90-degree Amici prism in astro quality

In astronomical telescopes, images are displayed upside down and reversed. A normal star diagonal flips the image upright, but it remains reversed. This Amici prism flips the image upright and displays it the right way round. The prism also allows for a comfortable 90° viewing angle. It is suitable for refractors and Cassegrains (SC, Mak, etc.).

Thanks to the quality of the prism, it is also suitable for astronomical observation. Simple roof prisms produce a reflection due to their optical design, which is particularly distracting when observing planets and bright stars. The very good manufacturing quality of this prism suppresses this reflection, allowing unrestricted astronomical use.

The telescope-side and eyepiece-side connection
The prism has a 1.25" barrel with filter thread on the telescope side. A 1.25" helical focuser with ring clamp is attached to the eyepiece side. This allows for sensitive focusing, which is particularly helpful when observing planets. The eyepiece is gently clamped in place using a ring clamp.
