Safe 80 mm white light solar telescope

The exiting Acuter Solarus-80 is an 80mm solar telescope with a safe, permanently-mounted white light solar filter of glass construction. which is useful for many different aspects of white light solar observing, including the observation of sunspots, solar eclipses, solar surface details & the transit of inner planets across the Sun.

It features a built-in rotating filter wheel, complete with pre-installed filters to allow the Sun to be viewed in different colours, and is comes with a universal smartphone camera adaptor (smartphone not supplied) to take photos using your smartphone, to keep a photographic record of your observations.

The Acuter Solarus-80 conforms to and meets the transmission requirements of ISO 12312-2:2015 (Filters for the direct observation of the Sun). Always use in accordance with the instructions.

45 mm Vixen style dovetail bar (mounted on the side)

We recommend the Sky-Watcher SolarQuest mount or an alt-azimuth mount with lateral telescope connection for observation, but of course other mounts are also possible.
