Skywatcher SolarQuest Mount with Tripod - makes Solar Observation easy and safe
With the mount SolarQuest, Skywatcher offers a mount tailored only for solar observation and solar photography. Thanks to the innovative HelioFind technology, sun observation is safe and easy even for beginners. The dangerous sighting of the sun is completely eliminated.

Solar observation and photography - simple and effective as never before:
Position the tripod reasonably horizontally.
Align the solar telescope somewhere to the left of the sun (east of the sun). A rough alignment is enough.
By pressing just one button, the sun is precisely centred thanks to HelioFind technology - fully automatically.
The mount uses the GPS data to calculate the current position of the sun, the telescope moves to the required height and the fully automatic centering starts.
As soon as the sun is centered, the automatic tracking starts immediately and the sun remains exactly in the middle of the field. You can start with observation or photography.

Planet transit in front of the sun, for example Mercury

The SolarQuest mount is designed only for use with solar telescopes and telescopes with an objective (front) solar filter. Do not point any other optical device at the sun. Observing the sun without a safe, professionally manufactured solar filter causes immediate, permanent damage to the eyes and telescope and also represents a risk of fire.*]

Endlich kann ich die Sonne mobiles Erfassen besonders im Urlaub, leichtes Gewicht mit meinem Skywatcher SolarQuest (20320) in Verbindung mit:
- TS-Optics 50 mm f/4 ED Reiserefraktor (TSSU50f4) +
- Daystar Instruments COMBO QUARK Chromosphären Filter (DSZCC) +
- TS-Optics 1,25" UV und IR Sperrfilter (IR1-E)
- 0,5x-Reducer mit 1,25 Zoll Filtergewinde (TSRED051)

Um das mobile Erfassen der Sonne habe ich kein Zenitspiegel verwendet, zur Fokussierung verwende ich den eingebauten Crayford Okularauszug des Reiserefraktors TS-Optics 50 mm.

Für mobiles Erfassen der Sonne bis maximal 5 Kg Zuladung, kann ich das Produkt Skywatcher SolarQuest (TSSU50f4) empfehlen.

"Aufbauen, Stromversorgung und mit einem Knopfdruck einschalten. Leichter gehts eigentlich nicht. Beste und schnellste Sonnenbeobachtung, die ich je hatte. Montierung bleibt über Stunden punktgenau auf der Sonne."
