DDoptics Steiger HDX-C 7x50 Compass - the classical nautical binoculars
The well-tried Porro prism design results in the Steiger 7x50, paricularly bright binoculars with high resolution and sharpness of detail. The model with compass and stadiametric reticle for range estimation is especially suitable as marine glasses or as outdoor glasses for hiking and expeditions.
Porro prism binoculars with brilliant image
Equipped with compass and stadiametric reticle for range determination, this typical 7x50 marine binoculars combine a high-quality coating with the classical Porro prism construction. The result is a light-gathering optics especially for use at sea. By day and at night, the Steiger HDX-C 7x50 convinces with its brilliant image, sharpness to the edges and a large field of view of 16 m at 1000 m. Spectacle wearers can use the entire field of view, as the eyecups are retractable in 3 steps.
Ideal marine binoculars with illuminated compass and stadiametric reticle
A big, stabilised compass with integrated switchable illumination ensures that that captains always stay on course even in heavy sea. A stadiametric reticle allows range estimation.
Automatic focusing - Smart Focus
In nautical use, the operation at night makes adjusting and focusing of binoculars very difficult. For this reason, the Steiger HDX-C 7x50 is equipped with a so-called Smart Focus. Focusing works with a true internal focusing system. After reaching focus for the first time, the eye can adapt to different distance without permanent refocusing.
Optics with high light transmission
With the FMC HDX coating, especially the wavelength range between 400 and 500 nm was taken into account - the human eye is sensitive to this blue range especially at night. The result are 7x50 binoculars which can supply very good brightness and resolution despite growing darkness.
Elaborate binocular optics
In combination with the intricate barium crown glass HDX optics, objects can be seen in darkness even if you cannot achieve a satifying result with other binoculars of this class. The Porro prism system will not allow any veiling glare or stray light even at moonlight or with backlight. Sharpness is fascinating up to the edge, contrast and colour fidelity of the image leave nothing to desire.
Robust design
The construction with its stable metal body breaks falls from up to 1 m height without damage and is waterproof even in saltwater up to 8 m depth. Fogging of the inner lenses is eliminated.
Applications of the marine binoculars 7x50
With its relatively small (7x) magnification, the large field of view of 126 m and the watertightness up to 8 m depth, the Steiger HDX-C 7x50 is ideal for sailors, yacht owners, skippers and as outdoor and hiking binoculars. Captains appreciate these light-gathering binoculars especially in twilight and at night, due to its bright, contrasty and reflex-free image. Because of its integrated compass, the low weight and the possibility of range estimation, the Steiger HDX-C 7x50 is also popular for use in mountains or at expeditions.
