Pocket-Col 2" LED collimator for almost all telescope types

The collimator is compatible with numerous common optical systems and allows for precise collimation during daylight hours. It is particularly recommended for all Cassegrain telescopes, such as Schmidt-Cassegrain, RC, and Dall-Kirkham telescopes, as well as similar telescope types (with a center mark on the secondary mirror). The collimation result is largely independent of tilting.

To achieve precise adjustment even in daylight, simply insert the collimator into the focuser and, if necessary, follow the corresponding operating instructions for your telescope. This collimator has two basic operating modes: a reflector mode with red LEDs and a refractor mode with white LEDs.

The generously sized battery provides over 20 hours of runtime, so that even with frequent use - for example, in professional applications - recharging is rarely necessary.

Collimating Ritchey-Chrétien telescopes and similar systems
It is well known that the collimation of an RC is not a simple matter. With this collimator, you can achieve very good collimation results during the day. This ensures that your RC telescope is always optimally adjusted for observation at night. The only requirement is that your telescope´s secondary mirror has a center mark.

Mechanical connections of the collimator
The Phoenix Pocket Collimator fits into a standard 2-inch eyepiece holder. The M48 thread in the barrel allows for a secure, tilt-free connection to the telescope.

The Phoenix Pocket Collimator can also be used with the Colliscope adapters. In that case, you will also need the TSM48a-T2a adapter.

Thanks to its small diameter, you can attach a standard smartphone holder to the Pocket Collimator and simplify the alignment process by viewing an enlarged representation of the reference elements on the screen.

USB-C port
The Phoenix Pocket Collimator features a built-in rechargeable battery and integrated charging circuitry with a USB-C port. You can charge the device using any USB-C port that provides at least 500 mA of current.

There is an indicator window next to the USB-C port. While charging, the LED there glows red; once the battery is fully charged, the indicator turns green.
