Fornax LighTrack-II Travel Mount for Astrophotography

This mount allows for tracking of telephoto lenses and small telescopes with highest accuracy. You can continously expose up to 107 minutes. By using the autoguider port, you can compensate for slight imprecisions in polar alignment and thus be able to use even longer focal lengths for astrophotography.

The LighTrack II can be used world-wide, it is switchable between northern or southern hemisphere.

Beside the normal tracking speed (sidereal), solar and lunar speed are also available. Furthermore, you can also use half sidereal speed for tracking. This allows spectacular celestial photographs with sharp foreground objects (TWAN).

At the bottom side, the LighTrack II has a female 3/8" thread and an adapter to 1/4". With this, you can attach the mount to the optional wedge, but also to good photo tripods with pan head.

The camera is attached via an optional ball head which is mounted to the top side via the 3/8" thread.

Question:
How can I adjust the friction power?

Answer from Teleskop-Service:
You can set the friction with an Allen key.

Please try to untighten the friction power set screw. You can find this screw at the bottom of the mount in a hole. See image.



This is an M4 screw. You can untighten/tighten it with an Allen key.

After you have untighten it, please start to tighten this screw with only two fingers. During you tightening it, start to move the plate with the fast movement buttons. The tension is correct if the plate just start to move.
