Celestron NexStar SLT Mount

Compact altazimuth GoTo mount with tracking for telescopes and lenses up to approx. 4 kg weight with quick coupling for telescopes and telephoto lenses with matching dovetail bars - the SLT is a fine travel mount for photographic and visual use.

It is especially well suited for visual observation. The mount offers fully automatic positioning to over 4,000 objects, automatic tracking and it is even controllable via computer. The mount is operated in altazimuth mode only.

The convenient quick coupling - Vixen style

All instruments up to a length of approx. 90 cm and a weight of approx. 4 kg can be adapted to the SLT mount. The matching dovetail bars can be found under "recommended accessories". With the matching L-mount, you can also adapt spotting scopes or binoculars to the mount.

Comes complete with tripod

The NexStar SLT is supplied with a field tripod. It allows a continuous height adjustment between 70 cm and 120 cm.

Sky Align - the particularly simple calibration in the starry sky

Sky Align is Celestron´s alignment method. It is particularly easy to use:

Step 1: Simply enter the date, time and location into the hand controller.

Step 2: Move the telescope to three bright stars (Moon/planets are also possible); you do not need to know the three calibration objects - simply positioning them in the center of the field of view is sufficient.

Now your NexStar is ready for observation. The instrument moves to the objects you want to observe at the push of a button.

The hand controller already offers switching to the respective national languages, such as German or French. The default language is English, at the first start you will be asked for the desired language.
