Pegasus Astro Photographic Green Filter - 2" Cell
The photographic deep space filters for broadband usage are helpful for creating RGB composite images with monochrome cameras.

The RGB filters are used for the three color separations in red, green and blue; to increase the detail contrast, a luminance image is also created.

This high contrast green filter is suitable for CMOS and CCD sensors as it blocks both UV and IR. The transmission range is from 500-550 nm with Tave>95%. The gap between this range and the range of the red filter reduces light pollution from the sodium lines at 598 nm.

Common features
Equal weight on RGB filters: RGB color combine weights are 1:1:1 - less work for achieving color-balanced images.

Parfocal LRGB Filters: Broadband filters are parfocal which ensures that you will not have to refocus when you quickly switch filters to capture images.

Anti-Reflection Coatings: Multi-layer anti-reflection coating ensure no halos, ghosting or reflections. Filters are resistant to scratches and do not get affected by temperature change.

Limited Sodium Light Pollution: A gap between green and red filters blocks out the primary sodium light pollution line at 589 nm and improves color balance and separation.

The Bandpass Filters
Luminance Filter (UV/IR Cut): The Luminance UV/IR Cut filter is designed for ultraviolet and infrared wavelength blocking to improve sharpness of the luminance image and reduce halos on lens optical systems.

It can be used on CMOS and CCD cameras which do not have an IR protection filter toward an image sensor or were remodeled (DSLR, Mirrorless).

This type is required for unfiltered CCD and CMOS sensors as they are extremely susceptible to UV and IR rays just outside the visible spectrum can have a very negative impact on image quality.

Transmission range is from 410-680 nm with Tave>95%.

In general, the filter can be used to maintain the focus distance when taking luminance images.

Red Filter: A high contrast red filter suitable for CMOS and CCD sensors. Filter is IR-blocking. Transmission range is from 600-680 nm with Tave>95%. Note the gap between this range and the range of the green filter, reducing light pollution from the sodium lines at 598 nm.

Green Filter: A high contrast green filter suitable for CMOS and CCD sensors. Filter is IR-blocking. Transmission range is from 500-550 nm with Tave>95%. Note the gap between this range and the range of the red filter, reducing light pollution from the sodium lines at 598 nm.

Blue Filter: A high contrast blue filter suitable for CMOS and CCD sensors. Filter is IR-blocking. Transmission range is from 410-500 nm with Tave>95%.
