The goal was to design a lightweight and handy binocular, which also convinces with its optical properties.With the new Lux-HR 10x25 "Pocket" ED, this goal has been clearly achieved. The Lux-HR "Pocket" ED is so compact that it fits into even the smallest jacket pocket. Despite the robust magnesium housing, a very low weight could be realized. The optics of the new compact class impress with a bright and clear image, which is still convincing even in low ambient light. The Lux-HR "Pocket" ED thus combines a lightweight and compact design with brilliant optical properties! The binoculars are not only ideal travel companions, but are also suitable for hiking, nature observation or events.

High Quality Optical Components
As with all binoculars in the Lux-HR series, so-called Field-Flattener lenses have been used in the Pocket version - an absolute novelty for binoculars in this price range. Field flattener lenses are special lens elements within binoculars that compensate for image field curvature to produce a nearly flat image. As a result, lines and edges that are naturally bent by lens curvature are rendered straight again. Advantage: The finest structures and smallest details are sharply resolved right to the edges. The Field-Flattener lenses also have an even more improved DDlucid coating, a further development of the ELR coating (Extra Low Reflection). DDlucid from DDoptics is one of the most effective binocular coatings currently available. Only premium binoculars currently have such similarly advanced coatings. The Schmidt-Pechan roof prism is phase-coated. In combination with the dielectric mirror, the phase correction coating ensures very high color saturation and contrast as well as maximum brightness. An ED full appochromat reduces color fringing in backlit conditions and ensures clean contours.

Optimal grip for fatigue-free observing
A special rubber armoring (Soft Touch Layer) with a specially roughened surface guarantees optimum grip and slip resistance - even in wet conditions. On the bridge there is an ergonomically shaped recess for comfortable finger engagement. Thanks to the slim and compact design, the glass fits perfectly in the hand and allows fatigue-free observation. The adjustable eyecups are made of high-strength metal alloy. The rubber coating on the eyecups additionally protects the eyepieces from damage during demanding field use. Of course, the Lux-HR Pocket binoculars are also completely waterproof and protected against internal fogging.
