Borg 0.72x Quadruplet Super Reducer

This four-element reducer system is designed specifically for the 90FL and 71FL/72FL fluorite objectives.

It offers high imaging performance even in the image corners despite strong focal length reduction and reduces the exposure time to less than 52%.

Design

The reducer consists of the lens part and various rings: On the one hand, there is a thin spacer ring that is only needed with the 72FL and must be left out with the 90FL.

Then there is a thick spacer ring, which serves to compensate for the additional optical length of the Borg7519 filter drawer. However, since this filter holder must be used after the M57 retaining ring, it cannot be used with all tubes without shortening the tube.

Last is the actual retaining ring, which can be screwed directly into the original Borg focusers. However, a 2" filter can also be screwed into this. But then the camera has to be removed to change the filter.
