Antlia 3 nm calcium filter for solar photography

The filter allows solar photography in the calcium K line around 393.3 nm. In the calcium range, sunspots are imaged in a similar way to white light, but with greater contrast. The faculae, solar granulation, flares and even bright prominences at the edge of the "solar disk" become visible to the photographer.

The filter is suitable for refractors without a built-in image field corrector up to an aperture of 100 mm. Above 100 mm aperture or if an image field corrector is installed in the tube (flat field), we recommend using an energy protection filter in front of the objective. This reduces the entry of heat radiation and prevents damage to the telescope or camera.

The Solar Discover is easily connected via 1.25" or 2" directly to the focuser. On the camera side, the filter has a 2" connection for suitable adapters.
