Powermate 4 Element Barlow Lenses from TeleVue

The Powermate Barlows are a further development of conventional Barlow lenses. Powermate Barlows provide exceptionally good imaging throughout the field and excellent contrast. The use of a two-lens, positive-action lens combination and a two-lens, negative-action lens combination produces a sharp-edged and well-corrected image. Powermate Barlows can also be used well on fast telescopes.

The parallel beam path transmits the light in a straight line to the camera or eyepiece. This makes the Barlow also suitable for H-alpha telescopes if you want to achieve a certain focal ratio. Another side effect of the parallel beam path is the constant extension factor. No matter if you connect an eyepiece or a camera, the extension factor always remains the same.
