TS-Optics 3x Premium Barlow Lens, 1.25" - 4 elements, telecentric
This Barlow lens is perfect for observing and photography of Moon and planets - an alternative to the TeleVue Powermate.
triples the focal length and thus magnification 4 elements for well corrected field telecentric optics with resulting benefits (see details) blackened lens edges against reflections and for more contrast universal use through 1.25" connections and filter threads fine for moon and planets, but also for deep-sky work

More power:
For those times when you want more powerful views through your telescope, the TS High-Power 3x 4-Element Barlow Lens will provide a convenient power boost for high magnification study of the sky.
Visual use:
The 1.25" 3x TS High-Power 4-Element Barlow Lens triples the power of any 1.25" telescope eyepiece. It´s an ideal accessory for high-power lunar and planetary observation, as well as lunar and planetary imaging when used with a solar system camera or webcam. Use this handy magnification-boosting Barlow lens for up-close views of Mars, ringed Saturn, and gigantic Jupiter, or to study craters of the Moon in exquisite detail. The extra power boost provided by this Barlow lens is especially helpful when used with short focal length telescopes that would otherwise not be able to achieve the desired magnification with very short focal length eyepieces.
Quality Optics:
The TS High-Power 3x Barlow lens features an enhanced 4-element lens design which preserves the sharpness and contrast of your telescope and telescope eyepieces. The lens elements are fully multi-coated with anti-reflection coatings and edge-blackened to provide maximum light throughput as well as optimal image contrast. The 1.25" barrel is threaded for use with Orion 1.25" filters and also glare threaded to help prevent internal reflections from reducing the brightness of your views.
Well-designed construction:
The body of the TS High-Power 1.25" 3x 4-Element Barlow Lens is machined from solid aluminum with a grip-friendly rubber exterior. A brass compression ring secures any inserted 1.25" telescope eyepiece in place without marring or scratching the barrel, keeping your eyepieces like-new.
The Barlow lens itself is furnished with a conical 1.25" barrel. This protects from slipping out and prevents jamming.
No compromises:
Get that extra boost of magnifying power without compromising performance and add the TS High-Power Barlow Lens to your accessory arsenal.
The advantages of a telecentric Barlow lens
In addition to the advantages of a typical Barlow lens, the telecentric design has two other advantages: First of all, the magnification factor is independent of the eyepiece distance, so you can put double polarizing filters, filter drawers and similar accessories between the lens and the eyepiece without increasing the magnification factor.
And second, the telecentric design does not extend the eye relief of the connected eyepiece. This is advantageous for the long focal length eyepieces that are often used in this context with their usually already large eye relief, as if this is too big, one can hardly hold the viewing position, which possibly leads to kidney being.

"Gute Abbildungsschärfe bis zum Rand. Bei vielen Okularen nahezu homofokal. Maximaler Kontrast bei DeepSky- und H_alpha-Filter. Luxuriöse Mechanik."
