The generous field of view of 68° provides a distinctive wide-angle effect. Nevertheless, the edge of the field of view is visible. Thus, even an inexperienced observer automatically has the right view.

The barrel is tapered at the upper end. This always guarantees a secure fit. The advantage to a locking groove is that this eyepiece cannot get caught with ring clamps. Nevertheless, tilting is impossible.
