Modification Service for your Canon EOS camera

Canon Digital SLR cameras have long since become accepted as outstanding cameras for digital astrophotography if one does not want to depend on a computer but nevertheless create beautiful digital astrophotographs.

But a weakness for astrophotographers is the IR block filter which is integrated in the camera. It cuts off a relatively large portion of the red part of the spectrum. As a result, red nebulae (H-II regions) appear relatively faint.

The solution: change the integrated IR cut filter

The orginal filter of the camera is removed and replaced by the matching Baader BCF filter. With this, yout camera becomes a full-fledged astro camera.

♦ The sensitivity in the red spectral range (H-alpha) increases significantly - approximately three fold.
♦ The Baader filter has the same thickness as the oginal filter, therefore all camera functions are maintained.
♦ We use the Canon repair service and not a "backyard workshop" for the modification. For this reason we offer full warranty for the conversion. You get the camera back in mint condition.
♦ The camera is even suitable for normal daylight photography. Only white balancing is necessary to compensate the shift into the red range. We also offer suitable clip filters from astronomik.
♦ The Baader ACF und BCF filters are optimized for astronomy, sharpness is further improved.
