Losmandy G-11 GoTo Mount with Gemini 2 Electronics
The G11 is a mount with outstanding reputation - wordwide - and for good reason. Workmanship is commendable. Also and especially under the housings, Scott Losmandy uses first-class parts. The result is simply - a mount that works - lifelong.
The G-11 is an excellent choice especially for amateur astronomers and astrophotographers who need to travel to the viewing location. The mount impresses with an excellent ratio between weight and load-bearing capacity. The mount head weighs only 15 kg, but the mount holds telescopes up to 30 kg.
The Gemini 2 GoTo Control

More mechanical features of the G11
Lattitude adjustment by female thread (see images above). The lattitude is reliable. The adjustment range covers 6° to 68° northern or southern lattitude. Laser engraved setting circles allows for precise reading of the position Telescope attached by a multi-function saddle plate. The dovetail bars are gently clamped by the whole side, delivering a flush force closure. The plate accepts Vixen and Losmandy level dovetail bars. The worm wheel is made of a high-quality alumminum alloy, the high-precision worm is made of brass. Removable stainless steel 1-1/4 inch diameter weight shaft accepts standard counter weights New - the tripod comes in a significantly improved version, the legs can be folded for easy transportation. Once set up, it is more stable than many columns. The tripod is height-adjustable from 838 mm to 1219 mm (33" to 48").
