The Explore Scientific 4.7 mm wide-angle eyepiece offers an extreme field of view of 82°. It can be used on all astronomical telescopes. The UWA offers spectacular moonwalks. You see craters in high resolution and due to the extreme field of view of 82° you have the impression of floating in front of the moon. Planets you can see with details and at the same time with the moons. Bright planetary nebulae show fine details and globular clusters are already resolved into single stars, if the aperture is large enough.

A secure fit in the focuser:

The barrel tapers at the upper end. This always guarantees a secure fit. The advantage to a locking groove is that this eyepiece cannot get caught with compression rings. Nevertheless, tilting is impossible.

Longevity and safe handling:

Explore Scientific´s Ar eyepieces are waterproof and filled with inert gas. This effectively prevents fogging from the inside, the penetration of dust and moisture, and the formation of glass fungus.
