Astroprints 2.5" Riser Blocks for Refractor Telescopes
These risers raise your entire telescope 65mm above the dovetail bar, allowing full rotation of the focuser and allowing the telescope to balance properly. Risers also prevent off-axis guiders and filter wheels from pressing against the ground when the telescope is not in use.
The elevation extends the usable time far beyond the meridian flip, in some cases it is completely eliminated. With short optics, the meridian flip is completely eliminated, allowing the entire night to be exposed without a meridian flip.
To mount the risers, insert the screws through the riser blocks and then screw them to your tube clamps and dovetail bar.
Warning about screw length:
Some tube clamps have threaded holes that go all the way through the ring. If you use a screw that is too long, the telescope tube may be damaged. Therefore, measure the length before use. Insert the screw through the dovetail bar and the riser block and measure the length of the screw coming out of the top of the riser block. In most cases, the screws supplied will fit the most common tube clamps on the market.

"Man kann damit z.B. einen Refraktor etwa 5cm oberhalb der Basisplatte befestigen, damit wird Platz geschaffen für Mini-PC und andere Dinge. Beim Abstellenkann das Filterrad auch in der Grundposition bleiben."
