TS-Optics angled finder and guide scope and spotting scope with 80 mm aperture
The achromatic telescope with the fast lens is versatile. It already shows many hundreds of nebulae and galaxies with suitable 1.25" eyepieces. At the same time, the telescope can be used as a powerful guide scope and also as a spotting scope for traveling. With a weight of just over one kilogram, the telescope is also ideal for taking with you on vacation. The universal dovetail bar on the base allows the telescope to be connected directly to mounts and dual mounts with GP/EQ quick coupling and to photo tripods via the 1/4" photo tripod thread.

The use as a guide scope
80 mm aperture provides enough light to always find a guide star. Even larger telescopes can be tracked with the guide scope. The focus position is 5 mm above the ring clamp. This makes the TSFRE80GP ideal for guiding cameras with a 1.25" housing, such as the ASI120mini from ZWO. The helical focuser has a clamping screw to optimally fix the focus position. The camera is gently clamped using a ring clamp. Alternatively, the female T2 thread on the telescope can also be used for individual adaptations. The working distance from the T2 thread is 90 mm, so you have enough space for adaptations according to your wishes.

A powerful spotting scope for on the go
With suitable 1.25" eyepieces, the guide scope becomes a fine spotting scope for day and night observation. The universal dovetail bar allows connection to your photo tripod via the 1/4" tripod thread. Suitable eyepieces are linked in the accessories section. We recommend magnifications between 10x and 60x.

A strong finder for your telescope
The telescope fits into GP-level dovetail clamps, which you attach to the tube rings, for example. This prevents the telescope from becoming too top-heavy. The TSIR20 is very well suited for the viewfinder and also offers a crosshair. The eyepiece can be illuminated. You can find the items in the accessories section.

Question:
How do I get to the T2 internal thread of the viewfinder?

Answer from Teleskop-Service:
It is actually a little more complicated to get to the T2 thread. On the tube, where the knurled screw is, with which you can rotate the prism, there are 3 more recesses with grub screws. Please loosen the knurled screw and unscrew the 3 grub screws further. Then you can remove the attachment with the external thread for the prism and you will come to the T2 internal thread on the tube for individual adaptations. The 3 screws fix the position of the rotation adapter. The grub screws are M4 plastic screws with a slot.
